Missouri State football is going to have to overcome low expectations if it is going to have a successful 2019 season.
The Missouri Valley Football Conference released the 2019 preseason poll on Monday morning and Missouri State has been picked to finish in last place.
Missouri State has either been picked to finish in last or second-to-last each year since 2015.
The ranking doesn't come as too much of a surprise considering the Bears' lack of recent success and the difficulty of the team's schedule in 2019.
HeroSports.com ranked Missouri State's 2019 schedule as the third most-difficult slate in the FCS.
