Missouri State loses its third straight in nail biter with Southern Illinois

This story will be updated following the postgame press conference and video.

The Missouri State Bears ended their two-game losing streak on Saturday, as the Southern Illinois Salukis (14-9, 6-4) extended the Bears’ (15-8, 5-5) losing streak to three games with a 79-77 victory.

In the last two contests for the Bears, the offense struggled to produce as the Bears scored less than 60 points in both losses. That trend continued in the first half on Saturday, and actually, for the first 10 minutes, the offense was even worse.

After the first five minutes, the Bears had just two points and were 0-6 from the field.
