The player responsible for draining one of the biggest shots in recent Missouri State history is ending her basketball career.
Sydney Manning won't return to the Lady Bears for the 2021-22 season. She was labeled as a "medical disqualifier" meaning she is no longer able to compete due to injury, a university spokesperson told the News-Leader.
Manning has been a consistent role player for the Lady Bears the last three seasons — contributing to a pair of Sweet 16 teams and being a capable outside shooter when needed.
