The Lady Bears (4-2) couldn't finish off a sweep on their trip to Puerto Rico with a win over Kim Mulkey-led LSU (5-1). The Lady Bears lost the game 66-58.

Missouri State will return home to play William Jewell on Friday at 7 p.m.

LSU created separation in the second quarter after a back-and-forth first. A 14-3 run late in the quarter helped the Lady Tigers take a nine-point lead into halftime.

Louisiana State was a rare team that matched the Lady Bears' size in the post. LSU outrebounded MSU 23-16 in the half as Khayla Pointer scored 11 points for the Lady Tigers.
