Greta Cross/The StandardThe Missouri State Lady Bears defeated the Drake Bulldogs 73-72 in a thriller Friday evening, their first home game in more than a month.
MSU came out firing in the first quarter, outscoring Drake 25-18, behind nine first quarter points from senior Ellie Ruffridge. She finished with 16 points.
“I’m a shooter and I’m going to shoot,” Ruffridge said. “Props to my teammates.
