Missouri State football's conference season moving to spring. MSU hopes to play Oklahoma.

The Missouri Valley Football Conference announced Friday it has canceled the fall season and will be moving to the spring.

Missouri State still hopes to play Oklahoma in the fall and collect its critical guaranteed payment — according to previous statements made by MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats.

The cancelation of the fall season would put the Bears' first season under Bobby Petrino on hold with the exception of a potential game against Oklahoma and a currently scheduled non-conference game at Tarleton State.

Moats previously said the Bears, if they were able to, would look into adding a third non-conference game for the fall with it preferably at Plaster Stadium.
