After blowing out a nationally-ranked Northern Arizona team just a season ago, the Bears weren't a match for the Lumberjacks on Thursday.

An uninspiring performance on opening night for Missouri State (0-1) football led to a 37-23 loss Thursday against Northern Arizona in Flagstaff.

Missouri State's offense struggled while the Lumberjacks took advantage of big plays to hand the Bears their first loss of the season.

This loss comes after Missouri State defeated Northern Arizona 40-8 in Springfield just a season ago.
