Missouri State football making onions, outsmarting dinosaurs. Insider notes from Bears camp

Heading into the 2018 season, Missouri State will be looking to add layers to onions while outsmarting the dinosaurs on offense.

At least that's what head coach Dave Steckel said Saturday after the team's final preseason summer scrimmage.

With a few new concepts on offense and an evolving playbook, Steckel hopes his offense can take off in 2018.

Football fans have come to be familiar with the term "RPO" as in "run-pass-option" as more NFL and college football teams have adopted the scheme into their playbooks.
