After 31 years of losing, a Missouri State football program that was recently a punchline was suddenly a champion.
That's right. Missouri State. A Missouri Valley Football Conference champion.
"I was so happy for our players," first-year head coach Bobby Petrino said. "To watch our players mature, get better and want to learn more and practice harder and get the results... I'm really excited for our players.
