Missouri State extended their 5-game losing streak to a 6-game losing streak against Dallas Baptist Thursday night. The Bears recorded their 31st loss of the season, which is the most losses in a season since 2014 for the program.
The Bears dropped Game 1 of the Missouri Valley Conference weekend series, 6-1.
DBU, who is now 9-4 in conference action, plated their six runs off of six hits and just nine strikeouts all evening.
The first batter of the night for both clubs reached second base after an error on a dropped fly ball. DBU’s Jimmy Glowenke stepped up to the plate and drove in a run with a single to right field, putting the Patriots on the board first, 1-0.
