Missouri State's exhibition game against Kansas State showed the Bears will need some more practice before the season opener.
The Bears fell 78-62 to the Wildcats in a charity exhibition basketball game to benefit the American Red Cross' hurricane relief efforts.
Kansas State scored the first basket just a minute into the game and led from there on out.
MSU pulled within six points with 3:41 left in the game to make it 66-60.
The Wildcats responded by scoring seven unanswered points to extend their lead to 72-60 until Darian Scott hit a free throw with 1:33 remaining.
