Missouri State's first half looked like the team that struggled throughout the non-conference season but the second half should give fans some confidence heading into the new year.
The Bears (6-6, 1-0) rallied to beat Evansville 65-52 in their opening game of Missouri Valley Conference play on Tuesday at JQH Arena.
Evansville led by as many as 13 late in the first half but hot shooting throughout the second half led the Bears to a solid win to start conference play.
Missouri State will continue Valley play on the road on Saturday night when it travels to Loyola-Chicago.
