Good teams are able to win ugly. At least, that's what the Bears should hope explains Saturday's victory over perhaps the worst team in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Missouri State (10-5, 6-5) snapped a four-game losing streak in a 74-67 win over Illinois State (5-13, 2-10) on Saturday afternoon at Redbird Arena in Normal, Illinois.
The Bears and Redbirds will play again Sunday at 2 p.m. in Normal.
A seesaw battle broke out in the first half with neither team pulling out too big of a lead. There were seven ties and 16 lead changes through the first 20 minutes.
