Missouri State basketball secures first 20-win season since 2014 with win over Indiana State

Missouri State men's basketball will stay in championship contention while posting their winningest season since 2013-14.

The Bears (20-8, 11-4) defeated Indiana State (11-15, 4-10) with a 79-70 win on Tuesday night at JQH Arena to maintain pace in the Missouri Valley Conference title race. They will remain in second place while needing Loyola (19-5, 10-3) to lose one of its next five games — with a road trip to Valparaiso (11-14, 4-9) on Wednesday night.

Gaige Prim finished the game with 32 points while going 18-of-21 from the free-throw line.

The win clinches the Bears their first 20-win season since the 2013-14 season under former head coach Paul Lusk.
