Missouri State basketball lands commit from Overtime Elite prospect Tyler Bey

Overtime Elite forward Tyler Bey tweeted on Monday afternoon that he has committed to play at Missouri State.

The 6-foot-9 forward played this past season in a professional basketball league for 16-to-20-year-olds while making the move from Fairfax (Los Angeles) where led his team to an LA City championship.

Bey held offers from Creighton, DePaul, Miami (Florida), Nebraska, VCU and others.

Bey becomes the first incoming true freshman to commit to the Bears. He is a three-star player who is ranked as the No. 153 player in the nation, according to 247Sports' Composite Ranking.

“The striking thing about Tyler is his tremendous size and skill for his position,” Tim Fuller, OTE Vice President of Recruiting and Player Personnel, said in a previous release.
