Missouri State basketball drops opening game in The Bahamas with loss to UNC Wilmington

This story will be updated

Missouri State might want to skip heading to the pool or taking a walk by the ocean to practice free throws after a 68-54 loss to North Carolina Wilmington on Friday afternoon in the first round of the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in The Bahamas.

In what was once seen as a winnable tournament for the Bears, they are instead headed to Saturday's consolation semifinal where it will play Ball State at noon. The Cardinals lost 78-73 to Vermont before the Bears and UNCW played.

The Bears (2-2) finished the game a poor 18-of-33 from the free throw line.
