The Missouri State baseball team, fresh off a season in which they set a school record for wins, will start 2016 as the No. 17 team in the country.
The Collegiate Baseball poll was announced Monday. Fellow MVC squad Dallas Baptist also made the Top 40 list at No. 31. In-state rival Missouri is ranked No. 34.
The Bears won 49 games in 2015 en route to winning the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and conference tournament titles. They also won the NCAA regional title in Springfield to advance to the NCAA Super Regional where they fell to Arkansas.
