As more things start to reopen during the coronavirus pandemic, Missouri State President Clif Smart said the university's plan to get its athletics teams back on the practice field is still undermined.
In an interview with the News-Leader on Wednesday, Smart said he recently had a one-on-one with MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats about the plan to reopen athletics and they are still 3-4 weeks away from finalizing anything.
"I would like to have kind of the summer laid out to the extent we know it by the end of May while recognizing that football is going to be decided later," Smart said while also saying MSU is still waiting for the Missouri Valley Conference to offer some guidance.
