Missouri State athletes march for racial injustice awareness following Jacob Blake shooting

On Thursday, there was no way the Missouri State football players could practice.

Not with everything going on in the world, they said.

MSU's football players joined the protests that have spread across American sports after a police officer shot Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black man in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Aug. 23. The NBA didn't play its postseason games and neither did the NHL, while some MLB games and NFL practices were also postponed.

On Thursday, the Bears didn't practice. On Friday, they made their voices heard.
