'Misery State': Bobby Petrino is Missouri State's new head coach. Twitter roasted the hire

Missouri State released a statement Wednesday morning that Bobby Petrino has been hired as the Bears' new head football coach.

Petrino formerly held the head coaching jobs at Louisville, Arkansas and Western Kentucky. He also had a brief stint as the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons.

The hire of Petrino has sparked some controversy among football fans due to past scandals. While he was at Arkansas, he got into a motorcycle crash with his 25-year-old mistress. Soon after the accident, it came to light that he had hired the woman to the university's athletic department and had gifted her $20,000 to buy a new car.
