ST LOUIS, MO — Hoping to get another crack at Wichita State is what the Bears wanted and that’s exactly what they’re going to get.
Clutch free throws down the stretch led the way as Missouri State’s 70-64 win over Northern Iowa to advance to play No. 21 Wichita State in the semifinal round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
The Bears hit 11 free throws in the last 1:29 of the game to help them advance, three coming from junior forward Alize Johnson.
“These guys have been really helping me on my free throws,” Johnson said.
