Men’s soccer beats Maryland in shutout for sixth straight season-opener win

Missouri State University men’s soccer started their season off with a win against the University of Maryland. In a press release from Athletics Communications, head coach Michael Seabolt said “Starting the season 1-0 is massive, and we appreciate Maryland hosting us and giving us this opportunity. The guys took it and I’m super proud of them.”

This is only the second time the Bears have faced the Terrapins in program history. The first time they met was May 5, in the NCAA Tournament, when the Bears defeated the Terrapins, 2-1.

Early in game, MSU goalkeeper Harry Townsend made a quick save to keep the game scoreless.
