MOLINE, Ill. – Kellie Harper had some worrisome moments early Sunday.
The Missouri State women’s basketball coach was confident going into the Lady Bears’ game against Northern Iowa for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title, and NCAA bid that goes with it.
But there was one thing she wasn't sure her team was ready for.
“I was so concerned because I had not prepared the team to cut down a net,” Harper said. “Then it was too late, and I couldn’t do it before the game.
“The whole time, I was like, ‘We’re going to win this, and they don’t know how to cut down a net.
