Live: Missouri State takes on Mizzou in season opener

Mizzou is leading Missouri State 34-28 in the second quarter of their season-opening matchup at Memorial Stadium in Columbia.

The offenses dominated in a thrilling first quarter, both earning more than 200 yards.

Mizzou scored on its first three possessions in the first quarter – two touchdown passes from Drew Lock to Johnathon Johnson and a short Damarea Crockett touchdown run.

Missouri State matched the Tigers score for score. New quarterback Peyton Huslig connected with tight end Jordan Frazier for a 6-yard touchdown pass, and senior tailback Calan Crowder broke free for touchdown runs of 75 and 34 yards.
