Missouri State volleyball player Lily Johnson made it a perfect 2-for-2 on Tuesday, repeating as the winner of the school’s Outstanding Female Athlete Award.

The award is voted on by the head coaches of the nine women’s sports at Missouri State, and went to Johnson, who also won the award after her freshman season.

Johnson became the school’s first two-time All-American in volleyball this season and is the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. She finished with 620 kills as a sophomore, the second-best total in school history and fourth-highest in MVC history.

The outside hitter was the first MSU sophomore to reach 1,000 career kills, and she had 20 or more kills in 17 matches, leading the Bears to the NCAA Tournament.
