Lightning delay, extra innings plague Bears' final nonconference game

Missouri State and Wichita State delivered an exciting night of midweek baseball on a silver platter.

The Shockers trailed a majority of the game but rallied in the 10th inning for a 9-4 win over the Bears.

After two scoreless innings, Wichita State capitalized on a pair of hits to get on the board first, 2-0.

Missouri State answered the next at-bat with three hits from juniors Jack Duffy and Drew Millas and freshman Dakota Kotowski. The Bears were able to plate four runs from two muffed throws from Wichita State.

The Shockers answered back right away with a solo shot over the left field wall in the top of the fourth, but freshman LHP Ben Cruikshank was able to get the next ones down to stop the bleeding.
