Late touchdown lifts Joplin over Kickapoo in Week 3 thriller

With 1:10 left in the game, Kickapoo was about to hold off their second-straight loss.

Joplin had the ball. It was fourth and nine from the Kickapoo 42-yard line with the Chiefs up 17-12.

Joplin's Zach Westermoreland broke loose across the middle of the field and his quarterback hit him in stride for a 42-yard touchdown with 1:02 left in the game.

Joplin up 18-17.

Kickapoo quarterback Mason Auer, with under a minute remaining, scrambled and was able to complete a 25-yard pass to get the ball into enemy territory.

A few snaps later, Kickapoo faced a do-or-die fourth down with seconds remaining.
