The Drury Lady Panthers awakened to roar once again on Sunday.
They played with an intensity and sharpness in the first half against Truman State that wasn’t evident in the first two games of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
The ultimate result was a 76-60 victory and a 20-1 record for Drury. It was the Lady Panthers’ fifth consecutive tournament championship and the first for Coach Amy Eagan.
In the men’s GLVC Tournament, Drury made a strong run into the final despite playing short-handed, but fell 76-71 to Lewis. The sixth-seeded Panthers had handily knocked off host Missouri-St.
