The Missouri State women’s basketball team won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in dominating fashion and secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

After defeating No. 3 Northern Iowa 89-64 on Saturday, the Lady Bears defeated Drake, ranked No. 21 in the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll, 94-79.

Alexa Willard dominated with a 30-point performance, a new career-high for the junior.

The Lady Bears controlled the second and third quarters, outscoring the Bulldogs 21-13 and 26-12. Even with Drake’s 32-point fourth quarter, the damage was done.
