Lady Bears top Blue Hens after dominant first half

The Missouri State University women’s basketball team dealt a heavy blow to fellow Conference USA newcomer, the University of Delaware Blue Hens on Friday night, defeating them in Newark 79-54.

Franchise player junior guard Kaemyn Bekemeier clocked her sixth double-double this season, scoring 16 points while making 12 rebounds. She wasn’t the only one to do so, either. Freshman forward Maiesha Washington recorded her second of the season with 10 points and 10 boards.

Besides the two of them, two more Lady Bears scored in the double digits. Sophomore forward Lainie Douglas led the team with 17 points, and freshman guard Kendal Brueggen tied Bekemeier with 16.
