The No. 11 Missouri State Lady Bears defeated No. 6 DePaul 89-78 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
“Everyone in our locker room thought we were gonna win,” head coach Kellie Harper said. “We were facing a really good and tough opponent, but we had a lot of confidence. They believed in each other, they believed in the game plan, and I couldn’t be more proud of this group.”
The pace was quick from the tip, with both teams scoring quick and early. In just the first quarter, the lead changed six times and the score tied six times.
