The Lady Bears (13-10, 9-3) took a huge win from Bradley University (11-12, 5-7) by keeping up a strong offense and defense, 74-54, during Friday night's game at JQH Arena.
Coach Kellie Harper said it was a good win on her postgame radio interview.
“I think that’s a good team,” she said of Bradley. ”So, to be able to hold them down defensively like we did, I am really proud of our effort.”
Harper cited balanced play from the entire team, making it a full team win.
The Braves got a leg up on the Lady Bears with a three-point shot from freshman Gabi Haack, but MSU didn’t stay down long, with a jumper from Alexa Willard and a three-point shot from Liza Fruendt, 5-3.
