Lady Bears survive an offensive shootout to win late

The Missouri State Lady Bears faced the stronger of two opponents on the road this weekend when they traveled to Peoria, Illinois, taking on the Bradley University Braves, and walked away with a win.

“In the fourth quarter, I’m sitting there going ‘this is a great game,’ you got two teams on both ends of the court making plays,” head coach Kellie Harper said.

This game had all of the early signs of an offensive battle. After only five minutes of play, both teams had broke double digit scoring, with the Lady Bears leading 13-10.

The longer the game went on, however, the seemingly offensive battle looked more like a defensive struggle.
