Lady Bears’ head coach Kellie Harper could not have scripted Sunday afternoon at JQH Arena any better if she tried.
Jasmine Franklin recorded her third consecutive double-double and the Lady Bears’ defense stifled the visiting Salukis as Missouri State defeated Southern Illinois, 66-51, on "We Back Pat" day to secure Harper’s 100th victory at Missouri State.
The Lady Bears (7-7, 3-0 MVC) have won six straight games and join Drake as the only Valley programs still undefeated in conference play. Alexa Willard led MSU with 18 points, joined in double figures by Franklin and Danielle Gitzen.
