Lady Bears playing for a cause

The Missouri State Lady Bears will be playing for more than a win against visiting Loyola Sunday afternoon at JQH Arena (2 p.m. on ESPN3), as the 2 p.m. contest is the annual “We Back Pat” game, which aims to raise money for the Pat Summitt Foundation to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

The game holds special meaning for MSU head coach Kellie Harper, who won national championships as a point guard for the late Summitt’s Tennessee squads in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
