Lady Bears do just about everything but win

With her team trailing 59-56 and just 10 seconds remaining on the clock, the scene was set for Liza Fruendt to add another chapter to her storybook season. The Lady Bears were desperate to tie the game, and Fruendt was one point shy of 1,000 career points at Missouri State. A three-pointer from the Lady Bears’ top shooter was all that was needed.

But Fruendt’s bomb from the wing did not fall, and the Lady Bears went down for the second time this season against Bradley. The Braves’ Anneke Schlueter scored a game-high 22 points and Leti Lerma added 21 as Bradley edged Missouri State, 62-56.
