Lady Bears coach hopeful other players will continue to score, in addition to Fruendt

With Liza Fruendt shooting just 4-for-13, the Lady Bears had other players step up and score when the team needed more.

And that's just what MSU coach Kellie Harper said the team needs to do.

Although the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Player of the Year tied for a team-high eight points, the rest of the team helped carry MSU to a 62-36 win over Central Missouri.

"Fortunately we can still step up and do some things with different people to score," Harper said. "I think that's going to be needed this year."

Fruendt led the team in scoring in the 2016-17 season with 16.
