After the Ramblers’ fourth missed layup in three minutes, Lady Bear fans could almost see the W written in the box score. However, a stagnant offense early in the game caused concern. In the end, a slow start couldn’t stop the red hot Lady Bears from defeating the Loyola University Ramblers 75-36.
Sophomore guard Alexa Willard kicked things off for the Lady Bears after a pull up jumper in the face of her defender. The Lady Bears continued to use their ability to shoot under pressure to their advantage the rest of the game.
Senior forward Aubrey Buckley introduced the Ramblers to the Lady Bear defense very early on, grabbing three rebounds in two minutes.
