The Missouri State Lady Bears' crowd-pleasing 59-56 win Sunday afternoon at JQH Arena could be looked at through two prisms.
One, the Lady Bears were very lucky having led for only 36 seconds in the entire game. Or, two, they were very tenacious, staying in the game and overcoming the Bradley Lady Braves in the waning moments to pick up the win.
Coach Kellie Harper will take the latter outlook.
"I'm proud of our team for not giving up and fighting through to give us a chance," she said. "It could have gone the other way in the second half and we just didn't let it.
