Kickapoo got off to a 3-0 start last season before hitting a mid-season skid, finishing 4-5.
After four straight losing seasons, the Chiefs are hungry to turn things around.
“That was one of the last things we talked about coming out of camp,” Thomas said. “We’ve talked about being able to have that same mentality week in and week out. Not being too high or too low and come out and try to play our best football every Friday night.
