Keith Pickens gets the call from Bears

It seems like Keith Pickens has been around the Missouri State men’s basketball program for a long time.

That relationship will only continue, as the former player and graduate manager was promoted to a full-time assistant coach position on Thursday.

“I’m extremely fortunate and blessed to be able to continue to be a Bear,” Pickens said in a release. “I’m excited to continue working with the returning players and work with new players to achieve their goals.

“I’m really grateful to coach Lusk and our (athletic director) Kyle Moats for this opportunity.”

The 25-year-old Pickens replaces Brad Korn, who recently left the program to take an assistant’s job at Kansas State after three seasons at Missouri State.
