Keith Guttin suspended three games by MVC, NCAA

When Missouri State’s baseball team puts its nine-game winning streak on the line Tuesday night, coach Keith Guttin won’t be there patrolling the third-base coaching box.

It will be assistant Paul Evans leading the Bears, after the Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA suspended Guttin three games for a failure to comply with standard post-ejection protocol on Saturday at Evansville.

Guttin, who was ejected in the third inning of the Bears’ eventual 9-5 victory over the Aces, will miss Missouri State’s game at Kansas on Tuesday, plus the first two games of this weekend’s series at Southern Illinois.
