A wild Saturday in the Missouri Valley Conference saw the end of Missouri State’s four-game losing streak, and almost certainly locked up a spot outside of the play-in round for the league tournament.
The Bears rallied past a determined Drake team, coming back from an eight-point deficit for a 76-73 victory at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
“We did a lot of good things,” Bears coach Paul Lusk said on his postgame radio show. “It’s hard to win right now.
“We were desperate.”
The victory leaves Missouri State at 16-13 overall and 7-9 in the Valley and alone in sixth place.
