Invasive plants can hitch a ride on your decoys, MDC warns waterfowl hunters

The second segment of waterfowl hunting season is underway at Fellows Lake, and conservation officials want to remind folks of a few procedures.

The waterfowl season on Fellows Lake is split in two portions, Nov. 25-28 and Jan. 1-31.

Missouri Department of Conservation oversees waterfowl hunting and fisheries management on Fellows Lake, just north of Springfield and owned by City Utilities.

Hunters at Fellows Lake are required to provide their own blinds.

"This provision allows individuals to hunt from blinds they built themselves and, thus, have been constructed to fit personal preferences, comforts and needs," according to MDC.
