For the 10th season in a row, Missouri State has a losing football team.
The Bears (1-6) clinched a losing record in a 29-6 loss to FCS No. 11 Northern Iowa on a homecoming Saturday afternoon at Plaster Stadium.
Fifth-year Missouri State head coach Dave Steckel fell to 13-38 in his head coaching career. The Bears have yet to win more than four games in a single season under his leadership, and with two of their four remaining games against Top 7 programs, the Bears are trending again in that direction.
