Illinois State blows out Missouri State to hand Bears fourth straight loss

The Bears' longest losing streak of the season continues after an uninspiring performance at JQH Arena.

Missouri State (15-9, 5-6) was blown out by Illinois State (12-11, 6-5) 76-60 Tuesday night, giving the Bears their fourth straight loss.

Missouri State now sits in seventh place in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Bears were picked to win the conference before the season.

The Bears came out flat to start the game, with the Redbirds jumping out to an early 9-2 lead. Illinois State star Malik Yarbrough scored four of the team's first nine.

MSU star Alize Johnson kept the Bears in it by scoring nearly half of the team's first-half points.
