This weekend Ice Bears had two goals in mind: Raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, and beat the Saint Louis University Billikens.
The Ice Bears defeated SLU 7-6.
The Bears scored 11 shots to 3 while still early in the first period. A SLU tripping penalty caused a power play for the Ice Bears, which is when returning senior forward Brendan McClew made his first goal of the season.
“It felt really good to get that goal off my chest,” McClew said. “It is always a little anxious to get the first one, but it was nice to get the first one of the game.
