Earlier in the season, the No. 25 Arizona State Sun Devils swept the No. 20 Missouri State Ice Bears in their two-game series.
But the Ice Bears didn’t let that hold them back when it came time to play the Sun Devils again. Thursday’s game ended in a 3-1 win for the Ice Bears.
“Starting this weekend with a win was huge,” sophomore defenseman Chris Brown said. “It was definitely a big win. If we would have lost to them, we could have dropped in the rankings.”
The game started off slow, but sophomore forward Zane O’Bryan found the back of the net with help from senior forward Alex Turin and junior forward Travis Barrett.
