Ice Bears hang tough, but fall to 8th ranked Lindenwood

After leading 2-1 going into the third period, the Missouri State Ice Bears suffered their first loss of the season to the eighth ranked Lindenwood Lions 3-2 in an exciting overtime game.

“Anytime you lose a game in overtime and you thought you played really really well it’s tough,” head coach Jeremy Law said. “Those ones hurt more than the ones where you didn’t play well, so I was proud of the way our guys played today against a top ten ranked team in the country. I was very proud of our effort.”

Unlike their weekend series with SIUE, where the Ice Bears were slow out of the gate, Sunday’s matchup against Lindenwood was more physical play at a quicker pace.
