Dylan Cole will be on an NFL roster in 2020.
The former Missouri State and Logan-Rogersville star was tendered by the Houston Texans on Thursday.
Cole was a restricted free agent after three seasons with the Texans after being signed as an undrafted free agent.
Cole will make at least $2.144 million with the tender. If a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is put in place, that number will likely rise going into next season.
Other teams will have an opportunity to negotiate with the linebacker and sign him to an offer sheet when the legal tampering period opens next week.
